Select CopyPaste 4.2.1 and drag on top of the System Folder (till its highlighted) then let go. You will get a dialog saying:
This system extension needs to be stored in
the Extensions folder in order to be
available to the computer. Put “◊CopyPaste
4.2.1” into the Extensions folder?
to which you reply, OK. Next select and drag the Drag&Drop Helper application into the startup folder which is within the System Folder.
Restart your Mac. There are now 100 clipboards and many more features waiting to be used. We recommend reading the QuickStart part of the manual which is in the documentation folder.
If you can't wait select some text and type
command c 3 or any number you like from 1 to 9
The command key has a little clover and sometimes an apple on it.
This put the text or picture into Clipboard number 3. To Paste it type
command v 3 or to paste many clips at once command v 3 4 5 etc.
To see a different view of your data and to try drag and drop type
command c p
to bring up the CopyPaste Palette. Here you can click and drag the text in 3 to another slot or to or from another application. Click on the ? button to get online help. Another aspect of CopyPaste can be seen appearing in the Edit menu of the finder and every application. You will notice that Cut, Copy and Paste all have hierarchical menus added by CopyPaste. Experiment with it but know that there is much much more to CopyPaste that can be grokked quickly from the manual or online help.
